SCHOLARSHIP
Aztec Fantasy of Lights, Inc. will award scholarships to seniors of the current graduating class.  The recipients will be selected by FOL board members whose decision will be final.  The number of scholarships awarded will be determined by the number of qualified applications received and availability of allotted funds.  Applicants will be asked to submit an application, essay and letter of recommendation.  All applications received by the deadline (April 30th) will be considered.  No late applications will be accepted.  The application packet can be mailed or faxed using the information listed below or hand-delivered to any FOL board member.  Questions should be directed to Sharon at 330-5230 or email at aztecfantasyoflights@yahoo.com.

Information / Criteria for applicant:

  1. Must be a local student of the current graduating class;
  2. May attend college / school of choice;
  3. Funds for Freshman year of school only;
  4. Given to any one person one time only – no repeat applicants;
  5. Must apply during “Senior” year of high school;
  6. One-half of scholarship total awarded amount will be presented in May; must prove enrollment to receive balance of scholarship money in February;
  7. Money may be used towards any college related expense (i.e. books, tuition, dorm fees, other fees, food, transportation expenses, etc.);
  8. Grades must be passing; however, no minimum GPA is required;
  9. Must have verifiable volunteer hours with FOL.
Applications may be disqualified for the following reasons:
  1. Received after the stated deadline;
  2. Not a member of the current year graduating class;
  3. No documented FOL volunteer hours;
  4. False information;
  5. Incomplete application packet (application, essay, and letter of recommendation).
